But details are still emerging today about what it felt like to be at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's big day last Friday.

Which Bafta Beauty is your favourite? We picked three winning looks this morning as pure glamour made a big impression on the red carpet again.

Emma Watson, who plays Hermione in the Harry Potter movies, reportedly took 3 hours to get ready for the big event last night... Get more oomph from your false eyelashes
Wrap them around a pencil before applying. This will help them to curve to the shape of your eye better when applying (and helps avoid a difficult pinging off situation later in the evening!) Try our false eyelashes here.

Keep glitter in it's place

ANOTHER royal engagement ...

And poor Zara Phillips is getting some flack today for the state of her nails after a hastily arranged photoshoot yesterday.

As an international event rider, we wouldn't expect Zara really has time or inclination to invest in a proper manicure (although if she used our Double Act, chipped nail varnish would be a thing of the past). X Factor's Cher piles the Make Up on ...

Where do we start with this one?! X Factor Cher has already been rumoured to be fighting with the stylist over her choice of Saturday night outfits ... and now it seems she's upset the X Factor Make Up artist too with this foundation nightmare.

The very obvious tide mark would indicate that Cher has gone about several shades too dark on her choice of foundation. Whilst her husband continues to be the major talking point amongst the sporting community, we have to say we're quite impressed with Coleen Rooney's front page grabbing antics ... although she may have taken the season's trend for statement brows a tad too far?

According to this month's Marie Claire magazine, "If your brows are groomed and defined you can play down the rest of your Make Up"

Here's the rules to creating the perfect eyebrows without making Colleen's over the top mistakes ...

1) Pencil in any gaps with short, sharp strokes. Use the pencil end of our Brow Stylist, defining the shape of the eyebrow at the same time.

2) Using the brush end of the Brow Stylist, brush brows upwards. This will help diffuse the colour throughout the brow for an even finish.

Poor Uma Thurman! She was snapped last night showing signs of an unfortunate make up mishap which would leave most of us blushing. It would appear an over zealous make up artist has completed Uma's look without paying fair due attention to blending her finishing powder, which could have spared Ms Thurman's blushes.

Who would have thought we'd LOVE a make under?

We're in the make up business, so we love all kinds of stories about makeovers as well as make up tips and techniques. So a story about a make under is not normally our cup of tea. That was until we saw this story.

If you're loving this season's series of the X-Factor, then you'll no doubt know this face. Chloe Mafia has dominated headlines over the past few weeks - forgetting her words, not turning up for auditions, not to mention those fake eyelashes, fake tan overload and long dark hair extensions.

Having already appeared once in a make under TV series for the BBC, you'd have though Chloe would have learned her lesson. Sadly not, so Closer magazine have this week taken her to task again and given her another radical make under ... and wow! She looks amazing ...

So it was all a little strange watching a Big Brother final on a Tuesday night, but so worth it when 25 year old Josie Gibbon was crowned the winner of the final series of Big Brother.

Looking resplendent with her freshly dyed blonde locks, and glowing fake tan (seriously - how pale does she make Davina look?!) Josie is today winner of Big Brother 2010 and £100,000 richer (not that she'll see it for a couple more weeks, as she's back in the house taking part in Ultimate Big Brother).

When Davina asked her how she'll spend her money, Josie said she said she would give £20,000 to the cancer charity CLIC, a charity very close to VIE at home's heart.

Throughout the years our Consultants have completed record breaking makeovers, marathons, trekked through Cuba and raised an incredible amount of money for CLIC ... we're just wondering if we could recruit Josie in a couple of weeks to Come and join our Party?

Top tips on how to apply fake eyelashes
Fake eye lashes are fab, fun and flirty. Lucky Cheryl has a Make Up Artist on hand at all times to master the art of fake eyelash application. However, for the rest of us here's a guide on how to apply false eyelashes like a master ...

1) Your false eyelashes are the cherry on top of the cake, so apply last. For smoky eyes like Cheryl's try our Bedazzled Eyeshadow Collection in Spellbound, sweeping the Eclipse shade (metallic blue) all over the eye and then blending Midnight (metallic purple) into the eye crease and below the bottom lash line. Blending is key so pick a good quality eyeshadow brush like our Eyeshadow Blender & Applicator and blend like a pro.

2) Gently curl the eyelashes with a pair of Eyelash Curlers (not too much - just a couple of squeezes is perfect) and then apply a coating of your favourite mascara. We like Precision Lash Mascara for this look.

3) Now it's time to bring out the fake lashes. If the lashes are a little too long, you may need to trim them slightly. Measure them along the length of your eyelid and they should fit comfortably from the outer corner to the inner corner - any excess can be trimmed with a regular pair of scissors.

4) Apply a little of the adhesive to the lash band (the adhesive that comes with VIE at home's False Eye Lash Kit dries completely see through so no worries about white glue shinging through!) Allow this to go a little tacky, which takes approx 10-15 seconds.

5) Press the lash firmly along your natural lash line and hold for approx 10 seconds until dry. Don't panic if you don't get it right first time, you can gently push the lash down with your finger whilst the glue is drying so it sits close to your lash line.

6) Even the professionals are known to have little slips when applying false eyelashes ... so here's a top trade secret. Take a liquid eyeliner and use to fill in any spaces between the lash and the eyeline. Used by top Make Up artists as a way to 'fill in the gaps' this is a must have for the fake lash novice.

7) That's it - get set to flutter those lashes girls ...

Our friend Arlene Phillips was spotted out and about last night, at the Burn The Floor premiere - A new West End production, celebrating dances of all styles including the Samba, Mambo and Swing.

Pictured here with her daughter Alana, Arlene has been working very closely with VIE over the past few months in preparation for the launch of her Make Up Collection in association with VIE at home, Dancing With Colour.

So we thought it was high time we dedicated a little blog space to the men ... and when we saw this photo of Brad Pitt we saw the perfect opportunity.

It's official - some people should not wear Nail Colour. Christian Ronaldo has been spotted on holiday sporting some very colourful toes. We thought the famous footballer would be keeping his head down this week. On Monday he announced he'd become a father allegedly using a surrogate mother.

Having seen his toenails we can completely understand why she wishes to remain anonymous!

We have no problem with men wearing Nail Colour, but looking close up Christian could do with some serious help in the feet area.

Bouncing Baby Boy for Dannii

Congratulations to Dannii Minogue on the birth of her baby boy Ethan in Australia. Apparently Ethan means 'strong and optimistic, solid, enduring and impetuous'. If he lives up to his name we're sure he'll have Dannii wrapped around his little finger and running around in circles in no time. Still, his dad is a rugby player so he should be ready and able to lend a hand.

Dannii has looked incredible all the way through her pregnancy as the picture shows - we can only assume she'd heard about our Moisture Tonic Treatment Oil as her skin has been glowing. Following Andy Murray's departure from Wimbledon we needed a pick me up over the weekend, and what better way than with a good old fashioned wedding.

We're not talking about the Katie and Alex goings on, but the wedding of Brendan Cole, the Strictly Come Dancing Star to the beautiful Zoe Hobbs. If you're a regular VIE at home shopper her face may look familiar....she has modelled for our current Summer Catalogue.

The word from the photo shoot was that she was fab to work with and had plenty of fun along the way. It's no wonder she's managed to tame the legendary ladies man.

Here's wishing them both the best of luck for the future. May the curse of Hello Magazine pass them by, and lets hope he's not dancing with a stunner in the next Strictly series!

Andy Murray's through to the semi-finals of Wimbledon and we think he can do it. There are those that feel he comes across a little grumpy - we don't care - he's a Brit and he's a winner. A year younger and 2" taller, that could make all the difference this afternoon as Murray takes on the world number 1.

Don't get me wrong, we love Nadal and his beautiful biceps, but we're backing our man all the way this afternoon. So, get your strawberries and cream at the ready, and brace yourself for an agonising few hours of tennis in front of the TV. We'll be setting up our Milano Oil Burner with Lavender and Chamomile just to help soothe away our tension and panic to make cheering on our man a little easier.

Come on Andy - make us proud to be British and give us something to cheer about in terms of sport this summer.

It's not just the temperature that's soaring today. After England crashed out of the World Cup , Andy Murray has bought back a feeling of anticipation, hope and glory for the British nation. We're not going to be negative, we believe he can do it!

And if Murray's performance wasn't enough to convince you he's a winner, he's now joined courtside by fellow high flying brits Michael Caine and Editor of US Vogue, Anna Wintour. In the presence of such power and fame - it's suddenly feeling great to be British again!

It could have all been so different?

As our pictures show the success of the England team could have been held in the hands (or more appropriately chest) of our star scorer Wayne Rooney. With hair - a goal scoring machine. Without hair - disappointing. Could his lack of goal scoring really lie in a little too much grooming.

Have our men taken the metrosexual grooming too far? What was wrong with a nice clean shave? Impressive stats ... and who knew that today they would have such a profound impact. If you love tennis like a lot of the VIE at home team, then no doubt you were glued to the epic match between 6ft 9 John Isner and his slightly less imposing, but equally determined opponent Nicolas Mahut.

Watching Isner visibly struggle in the final moments of the game, we couldn't help wonder how achey that huge frame is going to be today ... We hope his support team have invested in an intensive massage treatment like our Muscle & Joint Massage Oil to keep him limber. It's an early start for a lot of the VIE at home birdies this morning, as many of us are anxious to find out Englands fate later today ... Will Gerrard hold his nerve, will Rooney finally score a goal, will any of them actually sing the national anthem (in tune?)

We've not been convinced the 'no-WAG rule' enforced by Capello has been the best team tactic, that's why we were thrilled to see Carly Cole heading off the airport despite uncertainty as to whether her husband will actually play (well a WAG's got to holiday). Our only disappointment was, well ... she didn't look very WAGtastic, with a distinctive lack of make up, and some debatable hair styling. With rumours of Coleen jetting off to SA to support Wayne and the boys, we can only hope her airport departure is a little more glamorous.

With all the debate surrounding England's efforts in last Friday's match, it's nice to see that other Sports stars have their bad days too ...

Mr Roger Federer has had the office all of a flutter for the last couple of hours following his shaky start in defending his Wimbledon title. Who would have thought the stoic swiss champion could give us such a fright in the first few days?

It seems that the next couple of days are going to be nail biters - Murray's back on tomorrow and of course we've got the big game on Wednesday. Apparantly there's a football match on tonight, we've heard something about an England game ... all a bit of a hoo ha over who's going to be the goalkeeper*?

The sun is out ... it must be fake tan time

And as our picture goes to show, you can be one of the UK's biggest stars and you still will have problems perfecting a perfect fake tan finish. Cheryl spotted here at the Birmingham X-Factor auditions gave away her little secret with her white wrists and super brown arms.

Don't do a Cheryl! The key to flawless bronzing and lust-have fake tan is all in the preparation. Exfoliation is key for a smooth finish so try our Body Nutrition Body Scrub, then follow with a light body moisturiser like our Body Nutrition Body Smoothie.

Never! The rumour mill is already in overdrive for the BBC's Autumn Celebrity Talent competition.

We hear on the grapevine that this season's stars will be even bigger and better than before - will Victoria Beckham really be donning tap shoes? Could Amy Winehouse possibly throw on a feather boa? Would Girls Aloud star Kimberly Walsh really go up against her friend Cheryl Cole who stars on rival X-Factor? Well if the rumour mill is true, these are just three of the Celebs we've got to look forward to seeing do the cha, cha, cha, the mambo and the american smooth.

Whilst we always love a bit of Stricly Come Dancing, we've got extra interest in it this year, because we've poached ex-judge Arlene Philips to come and work with us. Over the past few months there's been some hush, hush meetings with Arlene. The result? A very exclusive Make Up collection that will be launching exclusively with VIE at home this Autumn. X-Factor auditions are the talk of the town ...

And our favourite (ex) WAG continues to win the war of best dressed with her two outfits of choice at the opening X-Factor auditions in Birmingham. Sadly this pushed temporary Danni replacement, Natalie Imbruglia, into the background (who's made the rookie error of wearing the same outfit and shoes two days in a row - shame on her)

Our favourite has to be this from day one, with hair and make up that's classic Cheryl Cole (or is it Tweedy now?)

Gasped? We fell of our chairs this weekend when we saw that slippery goal make it's way past the hands of Rob Green and into the goal. What could have been a great start ... well has generally been agreed was a pretty average start for the England team.

There's a reason we told you to reclaim the living room

It's a shame Dan Taylor's mum didn't follow our advice to reclaim her living room this summer.

Why? Well her football loopy son Dan (who lives with his brother and rents his flat from his mum) decided the best way he could support our boys in South Africa was by recreating a real life 'pitch' at home. Not satisfied with simply decorating his surroundings, he's laid a full turf pitch ... in his living room. The 'pitch' took two hours to lay and incorporates 100sqft of turf. It requires regular watering, and no-one is allowed to wear shoes to walk in the room.

So really, with front papers dominated by the girls, we can't help feel that Football is taking a feminine turn.

Day three of our WAG Idol poll on Facebook and Coleen Mcloughlin/Rooney remains firmly in the lead of the pack ... But not unlike a Footballers love life, our poll hasn't been without controversy with the inclusion of Cheryl Cole/Tweedy. No, not because of the use of hair extensions in THAT hair shampoo advert, but because there's some debate about whether she's still worthy of the title of WAG.

Let's have a look at the evidence ...

As our photo shows, Cheryl is clearly a lover of big, glamorous hair - an absolute must have in the WAG world.

Following yesterday's news, all the boys in the office are talking about the World Cup squad (yes, we do have boys that work here too). Junior Apprentice: Zoe's nail varnish and other thoughts

Junior Apprentice continues to be the talk of the office today - we're still not sure who's our favourite or indeed why Adam left (was it a cold, stress or something more sinister?)

Being a cosmetic company naturally our conversation turns back to Zoe - love her or hate her, the girl keeps us talking (if you were watching Twitter #juniorapprentice last night you'll know what we mean) especially her bright ruby red lips, and in particular last night her tatty chipped nail varnish.

Will it last - who knows? But like true Brits, the VIE at home Head Office is celebrating the sunshine today with a few more bare legs/arms than normal. And to be honest, it's kind of crept up on most of us so there's not been the normal fake tan preparation for this sudden heatwave.

There are a few solutions up our sleeves for instant fake tanning. Pin Perfection Invisible Tights is a girls best friend if you're worried about exposing legs that have been hidden away all winter.

Bronzed Beauty Instant Tan is a great all over solution and will leave your skin with a subtle shimmer (a must have if you're partying this weekend!) Also great if you've had chance to fake tan, but made a couple of small errors (we all do it!)

Junior Apprentice - how do you feel about the one with all the red lipstick?

OK, so much like the adult version of The Apprentice, there's a lot of us talking about the Junior Apprentice today. Who would have thought that the teen version would be just as addictive, would provide as many heroes and villains and most importantly that Nick could still perform an outstanding array of extravagant and amusing facial expressions.

So watching Twitter at the same time certainly showed a trend for bringing down young Zoe and her distinctive red lipstick. One thing I definitely noticed is the girl can't seem to keep her lipstick from creeping, or from rubbing off on her teeth (although a helpful production assistant seemed to point it out to her half way through the show).

If you're brave enough to create this look yourself, then make sure you've got all the elements right and you'll perfect it with a touch of pizazz. That cheeky monkey Louis Walsh has been slipping a few secrets and suggesting that the lovely Cheryl Cole may have gone under the 'needle' and invested in a little botox to smoothe away any fine lines ... Botox - she's only 26!

We thought you’d like to see how the day went when we shot the Yummy Mummy Makeover DVD featuring Gaby Roslin, so we’re taking you behind the scenes of the day of filming for the makeover DVD.

6.00am The team set off on their journey to London with super strong coffees to wake them up.

9.00am The team arrive at Touch Studios in north London and set up in the ready for the day. Yvonne is straight to the kitchen to make more coffee.

9.15am Gaby arrives after her BBC London radio show – apparently she has to get up at 4am and starts work at 5.30am every day.

9.30am Gaby has her make up look done by Lisa Valencia. Gaby tells us how she is sensitive to Le Touché Éclat so Lisa shows her VIE at home’s Out of the Shadows – and we all know the magic tricks this little pen can perform.

9.45am Such a professional - Gaby is straight down to work and in front of the camera. Gaby even did this is one take! The team ask Gaby where she got her fab little jacket from – Gaby tells us it’s from Top Shop (So Louise tries to sneak off to Top Shop to see if she can get one too. We saw you Louise!)

9.50am Gaby passes over to Lisa who runs through the look with Nicky Gray our model for the day – rumour has it Nicky was a fantastic model and so easy to work with. Nicky also had a chat with Gaby (as you do) and learnt some hot make up tips from Lisa.

10.20am Lisa puts the finishing touches to Nicky’s natural beauty look. Doesn’t she look fantastic?

10.30am The team go through the video and check it’s all ok and then pack up talking about how fabulous Gaby was.

11.00am In the car on the way back everyone’s listening to Yvonne saying how she is now Gaby’s new best friend – aw come on Yvonne we’re not quite sure we believe you!

Who's going to Las Vegas?

Fun Fun Fun! Yes that’s all we are hearing from Cape Town and we can't wait for everyone to get back so we can see their tans and hear the stories……surely not everything On Tour stays on Tour?!

Last night was the Gala Dinner at the beautiful Castle and all we have heard (or been allowed to hear) was that there was much dancing, singing and changing of dresses?! A first for a trip to Cape Town we've heard…..our reputation is spreading!

Everyone is determined to get to Las Vegas and everyone is desperate to be a VIP as we know Ros and Susan giggle everytime they talk about Las Vegas…..its going to be amazing! What a funny day yesterday, I have never seen such competitiveness between our teams and the Winelands Discovery tour showed our people at their best. Creativity is never an issue with our VIE girls!

Such fun and brilliant songs, words to be published when we are all back! And it was not a fix that the winning team was mine. It was all thanks to Carol Massey for her beautiful Wine label (she has much experience of looking at them!)

Last night we went to Pigalle and the venue had never seen virtually a whole group get up to dance before the main course.....we were just getting into practice for tonight and our Gala Dinner! Ros xx

Cape Town update from Ros

Sunset cruise around Cape Town was perfect....calm seas, a stunning sunset and plenty of entertainment.......we then went to Sevruga for dinner, and Crème Caramel Martini's! And who should we see but Cliff Richard who was entertained by our rendition of Summer holiday. The lovely Clara Smyth and Pat Love were 2 of his biggest fans!

This weekend our CEO Ros Simmons, along with a number of top performing Consultants from the business jetted off to Cape Town ... here's her first report,

"VIPs have arrived! And with a Champagne Cocktail called Flirtacious what better way to start our fun in Cape Town. After a lovely lunch the VIPSs have gone off to have a luxurious massage....can't wait to find out how they got on, maybe Rachie will have her fake tan hands buffed off!

Off to the pool for some sunrays, then getting ready for a fab dinner at a venue that Tiger Woods and Bill Clinton frequent....watch out!

Looking forward to seeing all our other VIE girls tomorrow on the top of Table Mountain....bring your shades and sunscreen with you girls its very hot here!
